Is there a more permanent punishment? Eternal damnation, perhaps?
I think that's above the mayor's pay grade to make that decision. There's even a word for it: "presumptuous." :)
I note that the mayor is no spring chicken. Wouldn't it be deliciously ironic if he were the next one to shuffle off this mortal coil?
That can't possibly be real...then again, it IS France! LOL
